It would not be surprising to learn that the person who coined this had a background in chemistry, as the saying is rarely as true as in this field. Images of many types are essential to the communication of chemical concepts. As the Internet becomes the leading edge in telecommunications, it is essential for the modern chemist and educator to understand how best to relate chemical images across the net. This installment of Chemistry on the Internet will provide a familiarization with the shareware and freeware currently available to assist chemists in presenting their graphics over the Internet.
