The advent of the Internet has introduced the opportunity for collaborative efforts in education and research work, as well as distance learning applications. In chemistry, as with any science, mathematics plays a key role. Providing the ability for the student or researcher to view and manipulate mathematical expressions, data spreadsheets, and other computational documents is an essential consideration in designing a web resource.
