The synthesis of tris(diethyldithiocarbamato) cobalt (III) by the reaction of sodium diethyldithiocarbamate and cobaltous chloride is described. The recovered crystals of the cobalt complex are characterized by magnetic susceptibility, IR and NMR spectroscopy, and cyclic voltammetry.
