Periodic Table Mural: A Community-Based Participatory Art and Science Project

Abstract. After a review of some recent articles on the periodic table, this paper describes the California State University, Fresno’s “Adopt-an-Element” contest and the inspiration for its periodic table mural featuring the students’ first-place artwork. Details about the construction of the mural and its website are also provided.
