Generating Quality Control Charts using Spectroscopy

Abstract. An undergraduate quantitative analysis laboratory exercise is presented that uses absorption spectroscopy to generate quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) or “Schewart” plots. Objectives of this experiment are to have students develop an understanding of QA/QC methods and to evaluate QA/QC data.
