Mnemonic for Oxoanion Formulas

Abstract. “NO-CO-SO-PO,” No Cola [or] Soda Pop, and “Clean slice [of] sucrose pie” are two mnemonics introduced to aid recollection of the charge and number of oxygen atoms in common oxoanions encountered in general chemistry courses.
