Hermann Staudinger: Holding on to a Concept Which People Questioned

Abstract. Although many Germans thought Hermann Staudinger was unpatriotic and was a pacifist during war years, and would not accept his concept on macromolecules. He won the 1953 Nobel Prize for his advancement of chemistry, and society, through polymers.
