Abstract. In an effort to enhance online collaboration we show how Google Sheets, a part of Google Drive, can be used to familiarize students in introductory courses with the practice of online collaboration and enhance their computational spreadsheet skills by introducing simple numerical methods. Students work in pairs with the instructor serving as a facilitator to aid student pairs by providing formative assessment during spreadsheet development.
