Cannabis and mankind have likely coexisted in close proximity for many thousands of years. With its useful fibers, valuable oil and medicinal value, Cannabis domestication was essentially inevitable. Although Cannabis has been employed as a traditional folk medicine for millennia, it has only been since the late 19th century that we have come to fully appreciate its very complex chemistry. This is the story of that fascinating science.
