Jan Czochralski, A Forgotten Father of Electronics

Abstract. It is sometimes the case in which scientists who make major contributions are somewhat overlooked in the history of the field. Such a case is that of Jan Czochralski of Poland who made major contributions to several areas. However, his name seldom appears in chemistry books used by undergraduate students. This review is intended to provide some recognition of the contributions of this prolific scientist.
