Email Problems | |||
|
There have been a number of problems sending and receiving email. As I am sure
that you are well aware, spam has been a major problem with all email servers
and many institutions have instituted strong spam countermeasures to counteract
the unsolicited email. For example, here at the journal we were receiving over
700 spam emails per day per account! Even with our client based spam filters
it was becoming overwhelming and legitimate emails were getting lost in the bulk.
So we have joined many institutions, undoubtedly yours as well, in installing new spam email protection. We hope that with these new countermeasures at the server level will be able to filter the spam and maximize the throughput of legitimate email to provide better customer server. With the new software it is possible that a legitimate email will be challenged and you may be asked to enter a graphic verification code on a one-time basis after which all future correspondence will be allowed. These countermeasures stops automated systems from flooding our server. If however you are concerned that you have not heard back from us it is possible that your institution’s countermeasures have intercepted our correspondence. Please feel free to contact us by telephone (208-841-0305 for article information, 208-426-1866 for billing and account questions) or fax (208-426-4493) or try my university email address at clemast@boisestate.edu and we will get in contact. Thank you Editor In Chief |
